Seasoned Instant Refried Beans (product review)

I had no idea this product existed until a couple weeks ago.

While visiting a local farm I purchased a 25 oz.bag of seasoned instant refried

beans.

I was hesitant until I read the ingredients and the only objection might be the

" natural smoke flavor Propylene Glycol.

No trans fat , low in fat and *gently seasoned* with peppers and spices.

 

They are soooo easy and delicious. This is how I prepared them in my first

experiment.

 

Instant Refried Beans & Tomatillos

 

I hulled and chopped 3 Tomatillos and sauteed them in a scant amount of water

for apx. 20 minutes.

Added 1 cup of the seasoned bean mixture, remove from heat, let stand 5 minutes

and serve.

 

These dehydrated instant beans would be perfect for camping and back packing.

Kids can make them in a minute for tacos,burritos, dips , etc.

 

The brand name of the one I purchased is *Loco Coyote* packaged and distributed

in Greeley Colorado.
