Guest guest Posted November 28, 2009 Report Share Posted November 28, 2009 I'm very experienced in clay pot cooking. Is this clay pot glazed inside? If not then you need to soak the top and bottom in water 15 minutes before you cook in it. This will make your dish retain moisture and make the juices. Since it's used, make sure there isn't even a hairline crack in it. I have 4 clay pots. I use German Romertopf's. I love clay pot cooking.
