We are perhaps 3 k from Ramanasramam, on the edge of a small village, presently not very built up with new houses (mainly these are for Westerners). This will be a good place to live and to practice. Peace seems to fill the place. Immediately in front of the house is Arunachala. There is almost an acre of garden and orchard surrounding the house, many will provide fruit in the months ahead. We have been eating bananas grown there. Today it rained much of the time, not heavy, but for most of the day. We watched the rain from the rooftop. We were also able to unpack our books. We read aloud from `Song of Ribhu' for the first time in several weeks. With this it seems like the transition which has really lasted several months is about over and the new life goes forth. Thank you Arunachala! Now two, richard
