Guest guest
Dear Group, Yesterday was Chirstmas anbd Sri Ramana Jayanti. We took lunch at Ramanasramam yesterday. There were hundreds and hundreds of people there and special activites all day long. They started at 4 AM. Lunch was served to all, in many 'seatings.' We stood in a queue for about one hour. This was mostly peaceful, with some good conversation with a westerener and some Indians in line with us. At one time, the line started moving, and in the rush, a woman fell. At least here, the rush stopped so the woman could get up. We decided to stand aside and wait. There is no hurry. We ate perhaps 45 minutes later, in a temporary dining hall erected for the occasion. My wife and I both felt great peace during the meal to be honoring Ramana on this day. We went home, and an Indian friend came and brought us a 'Christmas dinner,' and we did have the company of a friend for this meal. This is the first Christmas we have been away from our children and grandchildren. The company of a friend was very good on this day. We took a picture of moonrise on Arunachala on this auspicious day. I have attached it in the photos section. Not two, Richard
