Guest guest
Dear Friends in the Sangha: We have had several Sri Ramana devotees join recently. Please do feel free to introduce yourself. This list is currently the largest Sri Ramana on the Internet. Please make others aware of this who are interested in the teachings of the Sage of Arunachala and want to share cyber space with devotees. Also, I had these thoughts given some recent comments. How would the members feel, if we made all the list archives public. We have always been a private group where the messages could be viewed by anyone but only upon joining first. However, many other lists that were private in the beginning have gone public. The thought came to me that perhaps like other lists we can open up the archives to the general public. What would be the advantages or disadvantages of that? We don't have to make any decisions at this point or any point in the future. Namaste and love to all Harsha
Guest guest
Dear Harsha, 1. For any mew members, I have been practicing Ramana's Self-inquiry since 1990. I had many years with a realized teacher, Nome of Society of ABiodance in Truth, in Santa Cruz, CA (www.satramana.org). Starting pretty recently I have retired and moved to Tiruvannamalai to live, enjoy the spiritual atmosphere and resources, and practice inquiry with Aruachala. Please tell us something of your self. Perhaps how you came to know of Ramana, and what is your present practice? 2. I do not see that there is anything really private about our archive. Perhaps some members might have a concern about the ability to see and use their email address by spammers. Is this visible in the archives? Guest guest
Dear Richard, Thank you for the introduction to the new members and your continuing posts from Tiruvanamalai. You raise a good point about spamming. Since we started requiring people to apply to become members by giving a short introduction, spamming has dropped to virtually zero. Anyway, given the options available to us, we are doing the best we can to keep the list focused on its aims. Namaste and love to all Harsha , " Richard Clarke " <richard wrote: > > Dear Harsha, > > 1. For any mew members, I have been practicing Ramana's Self-inquiry > since 1990.
