Guest guest
Dear Group, Today we did pradakshina around Arunachala. This time we walked all the way. From our house it is about 15 K, or a bit more than 9 miles. It took from 7 AM to 12 noon. We stopped a few times to rest, and when in town for Indian coffee and vadas. Walking, we both had mp3 players and were listening to satsang with Nome (and some of the Satsang Selections that I have posted for your listening. It is great to walk around the holy hill listening to holy words. We loving being near Arunachala. Presently each Sunday we do pradakshina, and at least twice a week go up to Skandanasram and Virapakshu. Pongal starts tomorrow (12 January) and last for four days. This is a very big festival time in Tamil Nadu, celebrating bring in the rice harvest. And also celebrating cows. One thing that is done is in front of many of the houses there will be the most special kolams that one will ever see. I will try to take some photos of these and post for the group.
