Guest guest
Hello, Lovely People! Requesting your perspective on an unusual occurrence since early January... Subsequent to a great spurt of growth that occurred on January 1st, unknown Sanskrit words initially came to mind one by one, just three or four per week. These words would come into awareness with no prior introduction to them either spoken or written. Upon googling the words -- " kundalini " , " prana " , " bindu " , " dasha ashani " , " suramuni " , and " paravani " -- new perspectives were learned, new questions arose, and profound changes have taken place. " Suramuni " means " the divine sage " , and/or also a guru or yogi who has forsaken speech. " Paravani " translates literally as " the ultimate breath " , and means " the voice of the divine " . Interestingly, when " suramuni " was first learned, a prayer was repeated -- " Suramuni, I need you! " Not until today did the realization occur that it WAS " Suramuni " who had been revealing the words and wisdom all along. " Suramuni " -- the guru within -- who has forsaken speech in favor of direct transmission. Which makes perfect sense now, especially with the experience that the concepts of the Unlimited translate only very poorly into English. No longer are just single words being transmitted. Now concepts come into consciousness full-blown... difficult if not impossible to translate fully. However, attempts to translate do seem to help understand the concepts, in that wherever one finds the limitations of language to be a barrier, it is there, on the other side of the barrier, that the full power/depth/import of the concept resides. It's hard to explain... but... is there anyone else here who has had or is having a similar experience? Love and Light and Blessings to all of us! Guest guest
Hello, Lovely People! Hi, Michael! Actually had to google " Sangha " ! ;-D A total neophyte here... More... Today, focused on Suramuni himself. Because he no longer needs an ego, that's not his " name " per se, but his vocation. He is a Boddhisattva who has been freed from the cycle of rebirth and suffering, but who remains true to his vow, a teacher for whom " freedom " means nothing until all are free. So he has declined to ascend to the next level until all others are free. It seems/feels as if he has many students... in many spheres... and this one is brand-new, and somewhat slow in the scheme of things... On readiness for enlightenment, however, it is revealed that our spirits are like plants that grow from tiny seedlings. Each new set of leaves formed creates the ability to absorb more energy from the sun, which energy is converted to make more leaves to absorb more energy... so that the process is ongoing and exponential, not linear. So being " slow " in the beginning is natural... And like plants, the flower forms when their are enough leaves to convert energy to support the bloom... The " bud " of enlightenment or awakening is the formation of the desire to become awake. So all here who have formed that earnest desire are engaged in the process of blooming. The purpose of the flower is to reproduce... to form seeds which will fall on fertile ground, or be carried by the wind to lands far from home... depending on the plant. That, too, is the ultimate purpose of all who awaken... to be likewise boddhisattvas who spread the life of the spirit, who plant the seeds that will sprout in others, grow, and bloom... Love and Light and Blessings to all of us! Guest guest
Thank you for sharing Paravani and welcome to the group. You will meet many people who have had similar experiences or even different. Sri Ramana's teaching focuses on the the nature of the experiencer, the subject that experiences various perception. That is what is behind the Sri Ramana's method of Self-Inquiry. The question, " Who am I " has us focus on the nature of the subject independent of the experience.
