Guest guest
Dear Sangha: We welcome the new members. Long time members should know that in order to upload files and pictures on HS one needs moderator privileges. I have always been willing to make anyone moderator who is interested in doing so. Of course, devotees are welcome to help me in managing the list and the website but few have the time to do so. At this time, I am doing everything myself and am not able to devote much time to it. So some posts may be delayed. All members are moderated when they join HS, unless they introduce themselves. This is to avoid spammers. Sometimes, if I do not log onto my account, a post may remain unapproved for a day or two or longer. Here at HS, Sri Bhagavan Ramana is the Guru. HS is modeled after Sri Ramanaashram where Sri Ramana allowed discussion of many topics including teachers and gurus. However, we should take care in how we express ourselves. Sri Ramana used to say " Ahimsa Param Dharma. " For a Yogi, nonviolence is the first principle. The nature of Ahimsa is nonmovement of the mind. It is a natural expression of Self- Realization. Sri Bhagavan did not wish that devotees criticize other gurus. Of course, I have done it myself because before Bhagavan, all pale in comparison. The Sage of Arunahchala has no equals. Sri Bhagavan was once asked, " What is the fate of a false guru and a disciple who follows him. " Sri Ramana said, " Each according to their Merit. " One time, one of Bhagvan's devotee criticized another guru as being non-realized. Sri Ramana curtly replied immediately, " How do you know? " Sri Ramana was like that. Unconcerned. The message of Bhagavan is simple. Whatever we think, we need not be too concerned with our thoughts. Instead, we should inquire, " To whom has this thought arisen? " to bring us to the final question, " Who Am I? " Namaste and love Yours in Bhagavan Harsha
