Guest guest
A PEARL OF SAGE WISDOM Wisdom has a strong carbolic astringency, It isn’t the sentimental slave to each weak contingency; It’s stern, rigorous, strict, and often severe, It needs persistent effort, without any fear. The key is Self Enquiry and total Surrender, Egotism is the gift to Self we joyfully render. Be like Samson and pull down pillars of greed, The vile hedonism on which decadence feeds. A seeker ask the Sage that most profound question, “What’s the meaning of wisdom, dear master”? The Sage kindly gave him a useful suggestion; “Be earnest! that’s the way to attain much faster! Spiritual practice must never be forsaken, Or by the fowler’s snare you’ll soon be taken!”
