Guest guest
I think of compassion as " calm passion " - gentle interest in others, in ourselves. This approach is necessary if we are to go beyond ego, if we are to find clarity in our lives and our paths. To me, the spiritual path is itself life - there is no separation. I find myself continuing to look into things on a daily, hourly, even minute by minute basis. There is no end to discovery - no need to look at " enlightenment " as some final thing. Discovery, learning, growing is what life is all about - as long as we don't do it in pursuit of some goal. We cannot use things as means to other things. Things are their own meaning. Have calm passion for one another - this is the way to enlightenment.
