Guest guest
Roundel 12 DIVINE NIHILISM BE EGOLESS! that false, notional phantom ghost, 'Malade imaginaire', thoughts afloat in air are groundless; Nothingness doesn't boast an ego or cause; at the most Be egoless! If there isn't an ego, it's holy ground and boundless, You've mistaken your Self for a man, a head on a post, Invented a burden for him to bear when you're spaceless. Isn't the concept of egotism quite graceless? Let's instead raise our glass, drink a hearty toast To drown forever that vile poison, quite tasteless. Be egoless! I like the concept of the ego being a " ghost " - sometimes we point to the body and say " this is me " , sometimes we're the thinker of thoughts, sometimes the doer of actions. It's like the ego shifts around and lays claim to whatever it points to - " me " and " mine " . Tim
