Guest guest
Dear Friends, Sri V.Ganesan recently sent me the enclosed, which you may find helpful. regards to all, Alan A sense of 'boredom' is experienced because of the stubbornness of the 'mind' refusing to notice the 'gap' between thoughts and 'stay' there in that 'nothingness'. The mind pretends that it wants to be 'busy' and shouts this sermon: 'I am bored' ! God blesses each one of us with this 'gap of nothingness' - an unfilled- 'space' and a non-moving 'time', which the 'mind' refuses to accept, as it could not fathom it. One's slavery to mind's dictates is the real and only cause of boredom. Truly, any moment of forgetfulness of God is 'boredom'. The only remedy for it, is to instantly turn within and 'be' silently aware of the 'gap'. Staying in the 'gap' is the beginning of experiencing the true spiritual force, hidden within oneself. And, the 'gap' is the Presence of God ! You are ever in the Presence of God, my dear brothers ! Be aware of this truth, by turning within ! Be silent -- and, that is being the 'gap'itself. Firmly have faith that there is no further gap between the 'gap' and yourself. You are THAT already ! Love, Ganesan.
Guest guest
Dear Alan Thank you for this post. However, the Divine Manifestation -which was termed God- is not that negative. One has to cultivate in his heart and mind the deepest appreciation to this Divine Manigestation. The appreciation will come from knowing the true worth of that Divine Manifestation. If one adheres to that Divine Manifeatation, then he will suffer no death nor any sort of deprivation, this Divine Manifestation is your True Father and True Mother. This is " Our Father who is in heaven " . To adhere to this Divine Manifestation, to be always present with it, is the true Completion, there is nothing More.Just like the child hanging on to his Mother and Father, the child cannot wish for more. This is the final BASE -i do not want to call it summit. When boredom creeps in, it means immediately that you ego is born while your appreciation to this Divine Manifestation is incomplete. True appreciation to this Divine Manifestation , means that you have discarded the use of your ego and have surrendered totally to that Divine Manifestation. mourad , Alan Jacobs <alanadamsjacobs wrote: > > Dear Friends, > > Sri V.Ganesan recently sent me the enclosed, which you may find helpful. > > regards to all, > > Alan > > > A sense of 'boredom' is experienced because of the stubbornness of the > 'mind' refusing to notice the 'gap' between thoughts and 'stay' there in > that 'nothingness'. > > The mind pretends that it wants to be 'busy' and shouts this sermon: 'I > am bored' ! Guest guest
Alan, Very nicely said. However, I have not experienced 'the gap' except during deep sleep. There has not been any gap between my thoughts. No end in sight to the slavery to the mind's dictates. Looks like an endless waiting game. Sorry for the discouraging note. sundar , Alan Jacobs <alanadamsjacobs wrote: > > Dear Friends, > > Sri V.Ganesan recently sent me the enclosed, which you may find helpful. > > regards to all, > > Alan > > > A sense of 'boredom' is experienced because of the stubbornness of the > 'mind' refusing to notice the 'gap' between thoughts and 'stay' there in > that 'nothingness'. > > The mind pretends that it wants to be 'busy' and shouts this sermon: 'I > am bored' ! Guest guest
Dear Sundar, Ramana said somewhere that 'with persistence all will come right in the end'. We may not be able to complete 'the work', but neither are we free to desist from it. He says in Padamalai 'do not wilt- rely on the abundance of Grace'. You are not alone. Best wishes, In His Grace, Alan --- Sundararajan <sundar22ca wrote: > Alan, > Very nicely said. > > However, I have not experienced 'the gap' except during deep sleep. > There has not been any gap between my thoughts. Guest guest
Alan, Thanks for the kind words. I do believe in grace. But, it is hard to believe in it's abundance. There will be more practitioners if it were more abundant. sundar , Alan Jacobs <alanadamsjacobs wrote: > > Dear Sundar, > > Ramana said somewhere that 'with persistence all will come right in the > end'. > > We may not be able to complete 'the work', but neither are we free to > desist from it. > > He says in Padamalai 'do not wilt- rely on the abundance of Grace'. > > You are not alone. > > Best wishes, > > In His Grace, > > Alan > > > --- Sundararajan <sundar22ca wrote: > > > Alan, > > Very nicely said. > > > > However, I have not experienced 'the gap' except during deep sleep. > > There has not been any gap between my thoughts.
