When doubts haunt me, when disappointments stare me in the face, and I see not one ray of hope on the horizon, I turn to Bhagavad-Gita and find a verse to comfort me; and I immediately begin to smile in the midst of overwhelming sorrow. For what its worth I have done a free verse, versification of the Gita, with an Advaitic commentary. It is available from 'O Books'' or New Age Books, India. & nbsp; Your postings remind me of the fact that when a devotee asked Bhagavan if he should read the Gita, he said " yes " , always. & nbsp; Also another devotee said to Bhagavan, that & nbsp;trying to memorise the & nbsp;Gita's 700 verses was too difficult. So Bhagavan graciously selected the 40 most significant & nbsp;verses for him. These are published in Collected Works under the title the Song Celestial. & nbsp; For those who enjoy poetry, the best is Sir Edwin Arnold or Dilip Kumar Roy's versifications.
