Dear Friends, Harsha, Alan, Michel and all

Sri Ramana talked about the " latent tendencies " or " vasanas " .

What does Sri Ramana means by " The divine law manifesting the latent

tendencies of the mind " . What is the relation between the true SELF

and the Divine Law? Which mind is the one responding to the Divine Law?

Is it the Sativic mind or the jiva mind?

Dear Mourad,

& nbsp;

This may be the clue to an answer to your question.

& nbsp;

Reference:

& nbsp;Conscious Immortality, Conversations between Paul Brunton and Sri Ramana

Maharsh, page 130 .

The asteriks pointing to an answer are mine

Ramana

& nbsp;

" Individual beings have to suffer their Karma*, but Isvara** manages to make the

best of it for His purpose*. God manipulates the fruit of karma*; He does not

add or take away from it. A human being's subconscious state is a warehouse of

good and bad karma***. Isvara **chooses from this warehouse*** & nbsp;what will

best suit the person's spiritual evolution at the time, whether pleasant or

painful. Thus nothing is arbitrary. "

I trust this helpful.

All best wishes and regards,
