Guest guest
Dear Mouna, Thank you for the posting. My child moved to a new school in Chennai this year and I was pleasantly surprised to read the story of Atma Darshan in one of her text books. The name of the book is " Living in Harmony - A course on Peace and Value education " Book 7 followed by ICSE 7th grade classes. The story appears in Chapter 12 " God is everywhere " with a color picture of Sri Ramana and Arunachala Hill. -ramasamy Dear All, greetings again: After writing my posting thanking Richard and Carol for their photographs of Arunachala a few minutes ago, I resumed my reading of Letters from Ramanasramam by Suri Nagamma (started a few days ago) and strangely enough, the next letter of my reading was the following one. All the best, Mouna (Letter 64) ATMA PRADAKSHINA (GOING ROUND THE SELF) 19th August, 1946 One morning last May, Sundaresa Iyer, who used to bring food for Bhagavan while in Virupaksha Cave by going about begging came and bowed before Him. Bhagavan asked him, " Did you go round the hill by way of pradakshina? " " No, " said the devotee. Looking at me, Bhagavan said, " Last night when people were going out for giripradakshina because of the moonlight, he also started to go. But he felt he could not complete the round. When they were starting out after telling me, he went round me quickly. When I asked him why he did so, he said, " I am afraid I cannot go round the hill. So I have gone round Bhagavan. " " Go round yourself. That will be Atma pradakshina, " I said. " So saying Bhagavan began laughing. .........
