Guest guest
A VERSE BY BHAGAVAN SIGNIFICANCE OF THE BEACON Getting rid of the 'I am the body' idea, and merging the mind into the heart, to realise the Self as non-dual being, and the light of all, is the real significance of Darshan, of the beacon of light on Annamalai, the centre of the universe. It is not on page 79 of the edition I have. Nor could I find anything with that chapter title. In which chapter is it? And what verse number, if applicable? Thanks. Guest guest
Dear Richard, It comes from Collected Works 2004 edition, published by Ramanasramam. It is in the Chapter entitled Poems p.79 No. 4. Five Hymns To Arunachala, and is on the same page as Sri Ganesa, Significance of Arunachala, and then Significance of the Beacon, this verse. It obviously refers to Deepam. These are stray verses composed by Bhagavan and placed before Sri Arunachala Mahatmya, an extract from the Skanda Purana rendered by Bhagavan. I am glad you liked the verse. All love, Alan --- On Tue, 1/7/08, Richard <richarkar wrote: Richard <richarkar Re: FROM THE HILL Date: Tuesday, 1 July, 2008, 3:07 PM , Alan Jacobs <alanadamsjacobs@ ...> wrote:>> A VERSE BY BHAGAVAN> > SIGNIFICANCE OF THE BEACON> > Getting rid of the 'I am the body' idea,> > and merging the mind into the heart,> > to realise the Self as non-dual being,> > and the light of all,> > is the real significance of Darshan,> > of the beacon of light on Annamalai,> > the centre of the universe.> > > Page 79 Collected Works.>A good quote.
