Guest guest
From The Song Celestial. The 42 most important verses of the Bhagavad Gita chosen by Bhagavan from 700 for ease of remembrance, and arranged in order for our spiritual guidance. 8 . V.II:27 " Know That which pervades all this to be indestructible. The immutable none can destroy. " Comment. The 'That' refers to the Immortal Self, immanent in each Being's Heart, but occluded by the vasanas, and barely experienced until Self Enquiry and Surrender proceed through the necessary effort and grace.. The Self is all pervasive, and absolutely indestructable. 'The immutable, (the unchanging), none can destroy.' The Vedantic definition of Reality is 'unchanging' or immutable - as opposed to the relative world which is continuously changing, in a state of perishing, constant flux. This verse emphasises the previous two verses, and illustrates Bhagavan's wish to drive this point home. Further comments and questions are welcomed and invited.
