'yosef' means " he who shall add/increase " . the diminutive 'yosy' has no meaning. even though my given birth name is yosef, i appear as yosy in all oficial and formal documents (passport, id, driving licence etc). my apology, but as yet no poem on 'yosy' decided to came through... regards to your lady friend. tell her it is a good name, very popular and common here. best regards, _()_ yosy ps. some upadesa we are getting, huh? jai bhagavan!
