Guest guest
GITA STUDY 25 IV:19 " One whose undertakings are all free from desire and whose activity has been purified in the flame of wisdom is termed a Sage by those who know. " Comment: In this next verse that Bhagavan has chosen, he neatly brings together 'the flame of jnana' and 'freedom from desire' mentioned in previous verses, so as to underline them. Desire, except for the earnest desire for Liberation, is the arch enemy to be slain by a sound understanding of the supreme Knowledge, that of Jnana, which for us includes the sadhana of Self Enquiry and Surrender. Only those who have been 'purified' by this process can be truly called a Sage. Questions and comments invited.
