SONG CELESTIAL-GITA STUDY 42

C.18 V.62

" Surrender unto Him with all your heart, O Bharata. Through His grace you will

attain Supreme Peace and the perennial abode. "

(Osborne-Kulkarni Trans.)

Comment. Bhagavan completes his magnificent Song Celestial by another important

verse from Chapter 18, following precisely after yesterday's verse; this is the

summation of the Gita's whole teaching - the command to Surrender unto Him (the

immanent SELF of Absolute Pure Consciousness, and/or the transcendent GODHEAD or

BRAHMAN which are both experienced as ONE) with all the force of one's being,

one's Heart.

Then Oh Bharata, (another name for Arjuna meaning the spirit of ancient India,)

and for readers of the Gita, we are Arjuna; through HIS GRACE (the SElf and/or

Brahman) one will attain the supreme peace of Self Realisation and the eternal

dwelling place of sat-chit-ananda.

This verse ends our study group on this topic. Thanks to all those who

contributed to clarifying the verses. It is hoped that members will now be more

familiar with the wonderful scripture of the Bhagavad Gita under Sri Bhagavan's

guidance and inspiration.

Dear Alan,

It sure did (at least for me...), so I wanted to thank you for giving

us the opportunity, through Harshaji's List, to study together this

invaluable tool that Bhagavan presented us.

All the best, friend.

Yours in Bhagavan,

Mouna

(Of this last and closing verse of the Song Celestial, the only

comment I could think of is: " All's well that ends well " .)
