David has just published his new translation of Muruganar's 'Guru

Vachala Kovai.' It is available now in the Ramanasramam book store,

and, I think, from David's website.

This has been his major effort for the last four years. When I talked

with him about this work, he says he strongly feels that this is the

most authoritative rendering of Bhagavan's teaching, since Muruganar

would give each verse to Bhagavan after it was written for review and

correction, and also Ramana did a most careful proof reading and

correction when it was first published.

In addition to the 1254 well researched verses, there are additional

notes from Muruganar and Ramana on many of the verses to aid in the

understanding of the verse, a good glossary, and, as usual with

David's books, and very good index.

I have just started reading, and it looks to me to be very worthwhile.

Om Arunachala,

Richard
