Deepam

DEEPAM

Once a year on Arunachala

On Deepam, full moon night, he spreads

From beacon-fire the Light supreme,

Lord Ramana who saves us, gave me

True life and governs me.

Not only on that festive night

But every day he shines dispelling

The darkness in the minds of those

Who pray to him as their own Self,

The Light within, non-dual, bright.

From Sri Ramana Sannidhi Murai

by Muruganar

translated by Pro.Swaminathan

v.1210-11
