" Ignorance will not be eradicated except in those who, through the power of Self

Enquiry conducted assiduously within the Heart, have attained the victorious

absolute vision in which the whole panoply of manifestation is transcended,

being seen as a mere cinema show. "

Muruganar was a great Tamil Poet. He was Self Realised through the mighty Grace

of Sri Bhagavan and wrote this long, beautiful, teaching and devotional Poem as

a consequence. It is translated into prose by the Tamil Scholar Robert Butler

and can be bought on Lulu.

 

Murunagar also wrote a great Poem called 'Padamalai' (the feet of the Guru)

which contains Bhagavan's Utterances in aphoristic form, as well as the 'Sri

Guru Vachaka Kovai' (The Garland of Guru's Sayings) which is an authoratative

comprehensive collection of Bhagavan's Teachings. Both these books have been

edited by David Godman and translated by Robert Butler and Dr. T.V.
