Guest guest
From Padamalai P.24 V 10 From Bhagavan's Promises and Declarations Knowing and Experiencing Me Through the thought of the feet of the Guru who has reigned over devotees, the intense darkness of ignorance present in the hearts of devotees will perish and ultimate liberation will be attained here and now. -oOo- Note: Ramana was not only the body which appeared at Arunachala for a short while. Behind that form he was the immortal formless pure absolute awareness, existence, bliss; and as such he will alwaysl live on in the hearts as the Self of all those of his Devotees who call upon his Name . Murunagar wrote the great Poem called 'Padamalai' (Feet of the Guru) from which this verse is an extract. It contains Bhagavan's Utterances which the great Tamil Poet recorded for the more mature seeker in aphoristic form. He also wrote the 'Sri Guru Vachaka Kovai' (The Garland of Guru's Sayings) which is an authoratative comprehensive collection of Bhagavan's Teachings. Several translations have been made. Now both these books have been edited by David Godman and translated by the Tamil scholars Robert Butler and Dr. T.V. Venkatasubramanian. They can be ordered from the Ramanasramam Book Depot, Amazon USA and Amazon UK. Recommended. AJ
