Guest guest
Hello, my name is Katherine Masis, and I was born and raised in San Jose, Costa Rica, Central America, in a bilingual, bicultural home [American mother and Costa Rican father, (deceased).] Although I am not a Sanskrit scholar or anything of the sort, I teach an introductory course at Universidad de Costa Rica on Hindu and Buddhist thought. (There are plenty of good translations of the Gita, Dhammapada, etc., in Spanish.) From time to time I also teach an environmental ethics course and other introductory courses. Back in the 1980's, I read Arthur Osborne's biography of Ramana Maharshi, and in the 1990's I read Shambhala Publications' edition of The Spiritual Teachings of Ramana Maharshi. I recently found some videos of Ramana Maharshi on youtube--what a treat! I would like to learn more about Ramana Maharshi and this list seems to be a good way to do that.
