Guest guest
In a case of 'Neti, neti', there is no affirmative. Then who can serve the pudding (proof)? Alan That one Self, the Reality, alone exists for ever. If even the Primal Guru (Adi Guru, Dakshinamurti) revealed it in silence, who can convey it in speech? (Last verse, Five verses on the Self)
Guest guest
Hello Alan I was searching the list for neti-neti and found this old message from you. It seems to me that neti-neti is cursorily translated/interpreted as not this, not this, however, the basis upon which the not this, not this is made is the " knowledge " of what is. It is the knowledge of what is, that alows/creates the conditions to say, it is not this. Hence, Neti, Neti, investigated is actually about the affirmative. Thanks Vrunda , Alan <alan wrote: > > > > > > In a case of 'Neti, neti', there is no affirmative. > > Then who can serve the pudding (proof)? > > > > > > Alan > That one Self, the Reality, alone exists for ever. > > If even the Primal Guru (Adi Guru, Dakshinamurti) > > revealed it in silence, who can convey it in speech? > > > > > (Last verse, Five verses on the Self) >
