Those who are ensnared by the countless and endlessly diverse appearances of the

mind have been caught in the net of bondage.

Padamalai (the feet of the Guru) is a long Poem by the Self Realised Tamil Poet

Muruganar. It consists of Bhagavan's utterances that he directly recorded. It

has been translated by Robert Butler and others, in aphoristic form , and edited

by David Godman with a commentary.
