From the Sat Darshana Bhashya

P.v

Vichara and the Grace

Question:

Then I can dispense with outside help and by mine own effort get into the deeper

truth by myself?

Maharshi:

True.

But the very fact that you are possessed of the quest of the Self is a

manifestation of the Divine Grace Arul.

It is effulgent in the heart, the inner Being, the Real Self.

It draws you from within.

You have to attempt to get in from without.

Your attempt is Vichara (earnest quest), the deep inner movement is Grace, Arul.

That is why I say there is no real Vichara without Grace, nor is there Grace

active for him who is without vichara.

Both are necessary.

Sat Darshan Bhashya is a brilliant commentary on the Forty Verses by 'K' Kapili

Sastria under the supervision of Sri Ganapati Muni. The text was approved by

Bhagavan.

It contain's K's own questions to Ramana, then a long introduction to the 40 in

several chapters, followed by the 40 verses in free verse form with a

commentary. It concludes with a poem by the Muni entitled Forty Verses in Praise

of Sri Ramana.
