For the man of dharma seeking experience

of the State Supreme,

The heroic action needed

Is to draw in

the outward-darting mind

And fix it firmly in the Heart.

 

 

The Garland of Guru's sayings or Guru Vachaka Kovai is by Sri Muruganar, who

before and after his Self Realisation

through Sri Bhagavan's Grace, recorded Ramana's utterances and set them into

Tamil poetry.

 

This beautiful translation by Prof. Swaminathan is in free verse, and published

by Ramanasramam.
