Verses 133 and 134. As in a great forest, a roving robust elephant,

seeing the eyes of a lion in the night, loses life and is

eaten up by him, so the ego, named " I, " roving in

the forest of relativity, is killed by the Guru by mere

sight, and is eaten up by Him, out of Grace.

These quotations are from the book, Guru--Ramana--Vachana--Mala by " Who,

published by Sri Ramanasramam. WHO was in fact Sri K.L.Sarma. This was the first

translation of Muruganar's masterpiece into English which has been followed by

Prof. Swaminathan, Sadhu Om and Michael James, and David Godman with Robert

Butler.
