From the Garland of Guru's Sayings - Prof. Swaminathan's translation

53. GURU'S GRACE

P.55

V. 284

Those on whom the Guru's glance of grace

has fallen, are like the deer

Caught in a tiger's jaw.

They are bound

To have their wretched ego slain

And know the one Supreme Awareness.

They will never be forsaken.

From Prof.Swaminathan' s translation of Muraganar's Garland of Guru's Sayings

published by Ramanasramam.

The Garland of Guru's Sayings or Guru Vachaka Kovai is by Sri Muruganar, who

before and after his Self Realisation, through Sri Bhagavan's Grace, recorded

Sri Ramana's utterances and set them into Tamil verse. This poetic translation

by Prof. Swaminathan is in free verse form, and is

published by Ramanasramam.
