All the world's a stage,And all the men and women merely players:They have their exits and their entrances.....

These are Shakespeare's wise words.

The problem that we face today is that we tend to take this " role " too seriously !

After all this is a cosmic drama and the script has already been written and we are

merely acting out our parts . But some where , some time during the process of acting

we have identified ourselves with the part and we have completely forgotten about the director .. We have become so engrossed with our role for instance - " Ramesh " son of so and so , holding a mechanical engineering degree , working with a french multinational , so on and so forth .. In this process of identification with the role , we are forced live the life as per the script - laughing , crying ,enjoying while mostly suffering .. All these emotions are basically an " Act " ? The emotions , the reactions , the happenings are all supposed to be only a play , a cosmic drama . Why have we forgotten who we really are ? Why have be become obsessed with part that we are scripted to play ?? How many such roles we have played before ? Yet .. such is the power of MAYA that we get carried away . We have to keep looking out for that elusive Director who is holding all the strings .. and plead with him to make us REMEMBER and

RECOLLECT .. rather being stuck with this role playing game which gets wearisome after a while !!

:) well... to travel well is not less important then to arrive (chinese

saying)

I am,

Self identity

Is a donkey.

Mind, name, form, feelings

Emotions, cravings, hopes and fears

All included… merely an ass.

We all are donkeys, whether considered most intelligent

And revered as such

Or regarded as the dumbest of the dumb…

No different from plain asses –

Likewise subject to birth, decay and death.

But the remember, friend,

Lucky seeker after truth,

That the master, the all pervading

Nameless self

Is boundless and beyond time.

Peerless ghost rider

Directing and guiding all donkeys,

The herd owner and sustainer

Is the same resplendent one and only,

Birth-less and deathless reality.

There is no other. So

Wake up from dreams of selfhood, oh fortunate!

Friend of bright prospects,

Enjoy the frolics

Of the dead donkey –

While there is time.

Dear Ramesh

Dear friend in GD

its wonderful to read your words - feeling that you do not pretend but feel

IT

Is it not natural, to bow in GRATITUDE and to SURRENDER UNCONDITIONALLY to

this SOURCE???

Dear Michael...

Indeed it is natural for the child to suckle the mother...but so unnatural has our lives become.. neither do we realise that we are children nor do we recogonise or feel our divine mother ! Our proud EGO wants Independence ! Is that why this is called Kali yuga ? I wonder !!
