Even as the ego doesn't die

Unless the glance of Self

falls upon it,

the painful dream

of this phenomenal world

will never disappear

unless the mind surrenders,

and meets a glorious death.

This thought is reminiscent of the picture presented in the Ex. 33:20: " And He

said, thou canst not see My face; there shall no {assumptive dream ego—} man see

Me and live. "
