Dear Peter ,

 

Your answer is more thought provoking than my question.. Actually mine was a very mundane one - in response to Alan's post - " After doing a wrong action, one should not hide it " .. But of course your response as well as Michael's are very profound and deeper and very relevant...Sure most of the human race ends up not only in self deception during the present life but also for many many lives.. Unfortunately that is HIS leela.. As Alan had pointed out in another post .. we need to continuously bask under the rays of GRACE in order to escape from this perpetual orbit..

What immediately came to mind is that so long as we regard ourselves as limited beings separate from others we are deceiving ourselves.

 

I hadn't thought of this before you asked the question but it seems to me that Mukti is the only honest things we'll ever do - not that "do" is anywhere near the right word, of course.
