Verse 197: The sadhaka (spiritual seeker) ought not to act as he likes, even

to achieve a good result; if the act be done wrongly, it becomes a sinful

action. Foot note (30)

 

(30) This is a clear answer to the question; " Does the end

justify the means? " The end never justifies the means;

the latter must justify itself.
