Guest guest
Verse 222. The three groups of actions (karma), (see footnote 2 to Verse 225, which follows later*) become extinct in the case of the Mukta (Liberated), because his sense of being the doer is gone; the sense of being the doer was lost along with the ego, who (alone) was the doer. *Foot note 2 Karma (action) has been subdivided into three distinct categories: a) those that have brought the present body into existence, and are the source of the pleasant and unpleasant experiences of the present life. (there styled the Current Karma), b) the category of Karma which will come to fruition in the next life. and c) what is called the reserve karma, out of which portions will pass into the other two categories in the course of successive lives. On the attainment of liberation all the three cease to affect the Jivanmukta; the current Karma has the power to fulfill itself on the body: but since he has really no body, he is unaffected. ~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ > ~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~ > These > quotations are from the book, Guru--Ramana- -Vachana- -Mala by " Who, " > published by Sri Ramanasramam
