Dear Prasanth,

Thanks. I don't doubt the authenticity- it sounds true enough, although I am not sure that Bhagavan ever used the term 'cosmic power'. I really wanted theTalks Number so as to see if any more is said. As you say the whole of Vedanta is contained in those two biblical statements.

The first is Pure Awareness and the second is one of the ways to Realise 'That'.

Alanji,

I have received this mail some time back from another Ramana Maharshi devotees .

I had trusted the source and hence i have forwarded the same.

My apologies for not authenticating before sending the same.I will try my best to find out from which book it is refered from.

But nevertheless as known Ramana Maharshi always says whole of vedanta is contained in 2 bibilical statements

“The Bible says, ‘Be still and know that I am God.’ Stillness is the sole requisite for the realisation of the Self as God. The whole Vedanta is contained in the two Biblical statements: ‘I AM THAT I AM’, and ‘BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD’.†-- Talks 338

‘Be still and know that I am God’. To be still is not to think. Know, and not think, is the word! (Talks, 131).

The Bible says ‘Be still and know that I am God’.Stillness is the sole requisite for the realisation of the Self as God. (Talks, 338).

Sorry should have written 'conscious mind' not power- lack of awareness again.

Lucy Ma Cornellsen is 100% reliable.
