I learned that Raphael was the angel of art and healing. This was relevant to me, as my interests were art and healing. I learned that Raphael was interested in bringing light to the darkest corners of the earth. This seemed interesting because I was interested in going to prisons and mental institutes to be of service. I reached a point where I was so identified with the archangel Raphael that I believed I was him. That I had taken birth to heal the world. That I would do this by making a film, and uniting everyone and inspiring everyone to put their hearts together to feed the poor, heal the sick, and truly take care of one another. Then in order to find inner peace and to know what freedom is I became devoted to Ramana Maharshi. I gave up this identification in a name. Ramana told me that even if I was the archangel Raphael, I still had to find out who the I is. That behind the greatest angel is just the Supreme Self, consciousness itself, which is infinite and eternal. That the form rising in this ocean of being is not who we are, but just what rises. So I let go of that identification and am just trying to be a good human being. A good husband and a good father. I let go of that whole destiny identification. Besides regardless of any connection to the archangel Raphael, if I am going to make a film that inspires the world, there is nothing that can stop it if it is ordained, and there is nothing that can make it happen if it is not ordained. So I will continue abiding in Sri Ramana, and all who want to talk me out of devotion as not being real, because we are all the same self, well, I'm just not interested.
