From the Garland of Guru's Sayings WHO Translation

this quotation is from the book, Guru--Ramana- -Vachana- -Mala by " Who,

published by Sri Ramanasramam.

Verse 234. Just as the moon does not shine at all when the sun (naturally) rises

in the east, so when the Sun of Pure Consciousness rises (in the Heart), the

self-assertiveness of the jiva (individual self, or ego) ceases at once. (7)

(7) It cannot be supposed that the Jivanmukta (Self-Realized Sage) has any will

of his own; he acts according as the Divine Nature prompts him; if we speak of

him as a person, we must also recognize that his personality is not distinct

from that of God.
