Beauty

From a dictionary's definitions of beauty:

 

 

noun: the qualities that give pleasure to the senses

noun: an outstanding example of its kind

noun: a very attractive or seductive looking woman

 

If I think about beauty, I often recall one day many years ago when there for

some reason was no holding back or

filter removing the beauty in that summer day.

 

And I did not know that the same afternoon something very strange would happen.

 

After a trip with the car, we travelled with a ferry to an island.

 

The whole journey with this little ferry on the waves was going directly towards

the full moon rising above the horison.

 

Behind was the sun about to set in the sea.

And the planets were so incredibly large and small at the same time, loaded with

a freshness and kindness I am unable to describe.

But still here is a verse I was inspired to write that night.

Later I have found that beauty is not in a pair with something like ugliness.

For mankinds striving towards 'higher levels' through beauty is not a dead end.

 

And my definition would be that Beauty is/ begins with a reflection of Bliss.
