FROM PADAM THE HEART

P.37

V.32

Padam, the effulgent light of perfect silence, strikes, shattering the foolish

arguement that the nature of consciousness is two fold- within and without.

Padamalai is the advanced teaching of Sri Bhagavan given to Muruganar before and

after his Realisation, and recorded in Tamil verse. It has been translated into

English aphorisms by Davids Butler and Godman.

Padam means the Eternal Formlessness of Bhagavan, the Self, or the Feet of the

Guru in the Heart. A.J.

:) two old poems about silence:

Silence

Exploded

Shattering

All forms and names

Ripping them

To shreds

Of

Nothing

* * *

Peaceful repose

Silence

Effortlessly

Overcomes the roar

Of a thousand

Mightiest

Thunders.

jai ramana!

yosy
