Dear

Krushna and List Members,

I’m

pressed for time (story of my life these days L ) so I’m submitting my answers to Exercise 6 now – I may

be off the wall totally, however, I will submit my findings/reasons for these

choices if I am correct.

Chart

1 – The Libra rising chart is the chart

I have chosen for the woman who lost her spouse on July 17, 1992 during a

Ketu/Sun dasha.

Chart

2 – the Pisces rising chart is the chart I have chosen for the death of the

native, which I believe occurred on April 15, 1991, during a Venus/Moon dasha.

Looking

forward to the feedback of the others, and also looking forward to more study

time.

~Namaste~

Dear Krushna and List Members,

I thought I would give just a few

reasons as to why I concluded that the dates below may be the correct dates for

each event and the correct lagna to support these events. This is by no means

all-inclusive as far as “supporting” evidence, but just a few things for others

to consider, and my reasoning. So my logic is as follows…

Chart 1 – Libra rising chart – Woman

lost her husband on July 17, 1992 during a Ketu/Sun dasha.

I looked at these charts from a few

angles – to include a System’s Approach take, a Classical approach, and Krushna’s

Astakavarga teachings. All three seemed to support my findings – so I’ll list a

few…

Using Krushna’s system and 2nd

house as the focal point for the death of the spouse (8th from the 7th)

– the lords of D and E are Sun and Moon. Venus, the natural karaka for the 7th,

must be spoiled to indicate an affliction to the marital happiness. Also,

there must be signs pointing to the weakening of the functional karaka for the

7th , which is Mars. Lords of D and E for the 7th are

Saturn and Mercury. Mars and Sun are natural samdharmi and secondary upachaya

lords. Venus is lord of the 12th from B, and both natural and

functional karakas for the 7th are afflicted by Saturn. Saturn,

Mars, and Rahu aspect the 7th, Venus, and Sun in rasi, while Ketu

conjoins Jupiter and aspects lagna and Mars. Functional karaka for the 2nd,

Mercury, is 12th lord and badly placed in the 6th – in addition

to being in the 12th from Venus and the Sun. the transit chart of

July 17, 1992 has the 7th lord in the 8th, Venus, Mercury

, and the Sun afflicted by Saturn, while mahadasha lord is posited in the 12th

from the 12th lord, Sun, and Venus. Also karaka Venus in Krittika

nakshatra is totally spoiled…Could go on - but check out the Navamsha for

further support.

Chart 2 – Pisces rising chart –

Death of native on April 15, 1991 in Venus/Moon dasha. Venus is functional

karaka while Mercury is natural karaka. 12th lord from B is Mercury.

Secondary upachaya lords are Moon and Jupiter. Lagna lord Jupiter is posited in

the 12th form the 8th. Mahadasha and 8th lord

Venus is afflicted by nodes and Saturn. Debilitated Moon is weak and afflicted

by nodes and 12th lord, Saturn. Natural karaka, Mercury, is

afflicted by natural death lord, Saturn, in both rasi and transit, and aspected

in rasi by Ketu. Mahadasha and 8th lord Venus is in rasi Jyeshtha

nakshatra – while in transit it occupies the nakshatra of Krittika – both very

difficult and troubling positions for 8th lord, and not good for

longevity. In transit, lagna lord is afflicted by Saturn and Rahu, and is

posited in debilitated Moon’s sign with Ketu. Ashtamsha (divisional 8th)

shows rasi lagna badly placed in the 12th, while both functional and

natural karakas are mutually conjunct, and both are afflicted by nodes. For

further support, ashtamsha lagna lord is conjunct nodes and afflicted by

Saturn.

There is much more than this, but I’m

out of time, and this covers a few of the basic points as to why I chose these

dates and matched them with these specific lagnas. Sorry for any typos… Hope

you find it useful…J

Exercise 6: My attempt

Dear

Krushna and List Members,

I

thought I would give just a few reasons as to why I concluded that the dates

below may be the correct dates for each event and the correct lagna to support

these events. This is by no means all-inclusive as far as “supporting”

evidence, but just a few things for others to consider, and my reasoning. So my

logic is as follows…

Chart 1 – Libra rising chart – Woman lost her husband on July 17, 1992

during a Ketu/Sun dasha.

I

looked at these charts from a few angles – to include a System’s Approach take,

a Classical approach, and Krushna’s Astakavarga teachings. All three seemed to

support my findings – so I’ll list a few…

AS MENTIONED

EARLIER, I USED TWO ASHTAKAVARGA CHARTS HERE TO SEARCH FOR THE DEATH OF A

HUSBAND – AND LOOKED AT CONDITIONS INVOLVING SECONDARY UPACHAYA LORDS AND CONDITIONS

OF FUNCTIONAL AND NATURAL KARAKAS.

1.THE MARRIAGE

CHART (7TH) AND

2.DEATH CHART FOR

HUSBAND (2ND)

I ALSO RESEARCHED

THE NAVAMSHA – WHICH IS THE THIRD AND SUPPORTS THESE FINDINGS, BUT FINDINGA ARE

NOT MENTIONED IN THIS ANALYSIS.

I ELECTED TO

RESEARCH THIS EVENT FIRST (DEATH OF SPOUSE) TO NARROW DOWN THE POSSIBILITIES

BECAUSE THERE WERE TWO ASHTAKAVARGA CHARTS TO LOOK TO FOR CONFIRMATION – THE 7TH

AND THE 2ND, AND AN ADDITIONAL CHART – THE NAVAMSHA. SO IT SEEMED

LOGICAL THAT IF I FIGURED THE DEATH OF THE HUSBAND OUT AND WHOSE SIGN IT

BELONGED TO (LIBRA OR VENUS), THE 2ND CHART WOULD FALL INTO PLACE

MUCH EASIER IF ALL CONDITIONS SUPPORTED THE FINDINGS.

AS MENTIONED

EARLIER, MY TECHNIQUES WERE VARIED, BUT FOR ASHTAKAVARGA TECHNIQUES I FOCUSED

MAINLY ON FUNCTIONAL AND NATURAL KARAKAS, AND UPACHAYA LORDS. THEN I CHECKED

THE POINTS VALUE FOR THE SIGNIFICANT FINDINGS, SAMDHARMI PLANETS, AND CONNECTED

THE DOTS. J

Using

Krushna’s system and 2nd house as the focal point for the death of

the spouse (8th from the 7th) – the lords of D and E are SUN AND MARS FOR THE 2ND HOUSE. FOR HOUSE 7, NATURAL KARAKA IS VENUS WHILE FUNCTIONAL

KARAKA IS MARS.

Mars and Sun are natural samdharmi and secondary upachaya

lords FOR THE 2ND

HOUSE OF HUSBANDS DEATH. Venus is lord of the 12th

from B, and both natural and functional karakas for the 7th (VENUS AND MARS) are

afflicted by Saturn.

JUPITER AND MERCURY ARE NATURAL AND FUNCTIONAL KARAKAS FOR THE 2ND.

Saturn and

Rahu aspect the 7th, Venus, and Sun in rasi, while Ketu conjoins

Jupiter and aspects lagna,

SATURN, and Mars. Functional karaka for the

2nd, Mercury, is 12th lord and badly placed in the 6th

– in addition to being in the 12th from THE 4TH,

Venus and the Sun. The

transit chart of July 17, 1992 has the 7th lord in the 8th,

Venus, Mercury , and the Sun afflicted by Saturn FROM THE 4TH,

while mahadasha lord is posited in the 12th from the 12th

lord, Sun, and 12TH

FROM Venus AND

MERCURY. Also karaka Venus in Krittika

nakshatra is totally spoiled…Could go on - but check out the Navamsha for

further support.

Chart 2 – Pisces rising chart – Death of native on April 15, 1991 in

Venus/Moon dasha. Venus is functional

karaka while Mercury is natural karaka. 12th lord from B is Mercury, WHERE JUPITER TENANTS.

Secondary upachaya lords are Moon and Jupiter. Lagna lord Jupiter is posited in

the 12th from

the 8th AND ASPECTING

NATURAL KARAKA MERCURY. Mahadasha and 8th

lord Venus JOINS THE DEBILITATED

MOON AND is afflicted by nodes and Saturn.

Debilitated Moon is weak and afflicted by nodes and 12th lord,

Saturn. Natural karaka, Mercury, is afflicted by natural death lord, Saturn, in

rasi, and aspected in rasi by Ketu. Mahadasha and 8th lord Venus is

in rasi Jyeshtha nakshatra – while in transit it occupies the nakshatra of

Krittika – both very difficult and troubling positions for 8th lord,

and not good for longevity. In transit, lagna lord is afflicted by Saturn and NODES, and is posited in

debilitated Moon’s sign with Ketu. Ashtamsha (divisional 8th) shows

rasi lagna badly placed in the 12th, while both functional and

Saturn.

Dear

Krushna,

Thanks…J

I have a

request…Could you please list the total planetary point values as you figured

them for Exercise 6 for both Libra and Pisces charts, so we can compare our Worksheet

values to your values? (Krushna, I’m not sure you are using the Worksheet, and

you may be doing the values by hand?)

Anyway, I request this because Sanjay

(where are you anyway Sanjay? J ) has updated the Worksheet

a number of times, and I think it would be highly beneficial for list members to

compare their values to yours, to see if we are still in the ballpark Worksheet

wise…Also because a couple of us did our analyses with the additional

techniques of “other” system’s and arrived at the correct conclusion, we still

need to know if we are calculating the points correctly for your ashtakavarga

system.

Sanjay and

Donna have both put so much time and effort into the creation of this sheet –

that I just want to make sure I’m using it properly…Thanks!

~Namaste~

Dear Sandy,

Just I have mailed my answer, only overwriting in the answer of Donna. She

have prepared the worksheet very nicely. Frankly speaking, first time I have

seen the worksheet, so closely. Realy it is a big job and must called as

GOLDEN WORK. Donna very sincere member and working very hard for the group.

Definitely she will put it in file section in proper and nice way.

I must thank to all the members who have participated. Such reaction and

participation increases my energy, and creats more interest in the group.

..Dear Ron -

For Members: I for one am still somewhat confused by some of the

'rules'. Has anyone taken time to jot them down in notebook

form?

I started doing a notebook, but have been swamped with trying to get the Upachaya program updated, and trying to get the exercises done and re-written so that they can be put in lesson form, plus various other projects with other lists. I will try to bring the notebook up to date as well, but you will have to give me a little time. . .
