Is it just a preference or is there another reason. I can of course set my program to mean mode; that's no problem but I just want to know why. True nodes is similar to true Sun which is used for Time purpose. The mean nodes are always retrograde, but true nodes are some time posigrade. We use mean Sun, for astrology purposes. There fore we must use mean Nodes. These options are given in the program, There is a thought amongs the astrologers that true Nodes can give more influence for transit purpose. So for experiment purpose it is used. All ancient books refer to mean Nodes.
