Dear Donna,

I am now going through the various principles of AV and Upachaya. Please clarify one thing,

I read in the Lesson 3 that when one planet aquires less than 4 points in a house say 2 then the mallefic effect on the house by the planet will be equivalent to 2 and the benefic pints from the planet to the other houses it is aspecting will be equvalent to 8-2 i.e 6.

Now questions are,

1. Will this effect be same for all aspects? viz. in case of saturn- will the similar benefic points will be disbursed by it to all 3rd, 7th and 10th houses in equal ammount?

2. See the sample chart at the end of Lesson 1. Saturn is getting only 2 at 3rd house in sarvastakavarga. So it will give 6 points to 9th house on aspect. In the chart we see it has got 5 points for 9th house. What is the difference between these two type of points - one from aspect and other it received in the sarvastakavarga. Is there any relation?

I shall come up with more points as and when I face a doubt and disturb you.

Regards,

JK

Yes.

The Ashtakavarga chart that you're referring to is merely a chart that shows the distribution of the different bindu points to every house. The numbers colored in red show the planetary positions in those particular houses that have those number of points to it. It is NOT already calculated for you on the chart that the 8th will receive 6 points just because Saturn in the 3rd has 2 points. These are two separate things. The calculations take place in the worksheet.
