Dear Krushna,

One of the questions I asked while you were away seems to have got lost in

the many mails.

How do you compare the effects of the Natural Karaka and the Functional

Karaka. In the systems approach only the Functional Karaka is used and the

Natural Karaka is almost ignored. How are they treated in Asytakavarga are

they both as important or is one more important than the other.

Question 2)

Most of the events I suggested would be very interesting for study in a

previous leter have now been dealt with. There remains I think just onew

possible area of a persons life which we have to cover - that of health.

This is one of the most important questions which is very often asked of us

as an astrologer during consultations - What will my health be like.

Generally if asked the question I have looked at the 1st house for general

health then the 6th for diseases and more serious health problems and

finally I would look at the 8th for accidents. I would also of course be

looking at the rulers of these houses in my assessment. I would also look at

the transits of the slow moving planets to see what effects the would have

on those houses and planets. How do we do the same thing using astakavarga.

Do we for example use the worksheet for those houses and see the

strongest/weakest planets to find which sub-period would make us vulnerable

or is there a more straightforward system.

Peter
