Any Planet in its own sign or in uccha rashi never gives good result. Q I am not sure whether you are referring to a planet's effect on the house it is in or the house it aspects, or both?. If it is both, then this would be different to your previous argument where you point out that the effect of a planet on the house that it aspects is opposite to the house that it is in. 2. If such planet is with more points, it will give malefic results for the places it aspects. Q What will be the effect if it has less points? 3. Sight of planets, having more points, on any planet is also malefic. The aspected planet looses its power. 4. Mul trikon rashi of any planet is either its own sign or it's uccha rashi. So any planet in Mul Trikona always gives bad results for the places it is aspecting. If such planet is with more points, the result will be more worst. Q Are you saying that the effect of a planet in its uccha or own sign is bad for the place it is in or the place it is aspecting, regardless of the number of points? When any planet is in uccha rashi, it's own sign, or Multrikona sign always gives bad result for the house it is aspecting. This is general law. More accurate result can be had from the points it is having. Planets with less points, can give benefic result for the house/s it is aspecting. Planets in neech rashi, in the rashi of it's enemy, gives benefic result for the house it is aspecting. This is general law again. More accurate result can be judged from the points it is having for the place it is situated. Any planet having less points, gives benefic result for the houses it is aspecting, at the same time it reduces the result of the house where it is situated. Similarly any planet with more points gives good result for the house it is situated, and malefic result for the house/s it is aspecting. Planet with 4 points is nuetral, can give result on both side. If compare two planets, both are with less then 4 points and equal points for the place they are situated, then the planet which is situated in neecha rashi, or in the rashi of it's enemy will give more benefic result compared to other planet situated in it's uccha rashi, for their sight. This is not indicated by points, but while taking judgement we should consider this effect. With out using astakvarga points, you can experience similar results. Jupiter which is said to be most benefic planet, gives very bad result for it's sight, if situated with with more points. If it is lord of 6th house, loss for the house it aspects, can not be compensate, for example loss of the person indicated by the house it aspects, or similar results. Such results are experienced in the sub period of Jupiter. Saturn and Mars which are said to be most malefic result giving planet, can give benefic results, if with less points, for the houses having their sights, in their sub period. These thing can be checked very easily. Just go through 4/5 charts of some aged persons, you can confirm the accuracy of the law.
