Dear Krushna and members of the list,

Thank you very much for your answers. I'll go slowly through the lessons. I

re-write everything (in French) in order to be sure every point becomes

clear to me.

I'll try to apply the ashtakavarga system to my professional life

(subperiods in which I started and ended such or such job). I am not sure

about the house B I have to use. It is the 10th house or the 6th house? In

classical astrology, It should be the 10th, particularly when the querent is

self-employed.

Thanks for sharing your experience.

In the files section in the archives is an Excel file called Upachaya Houses. It's the last file on the list. Download this and print out all the pages for every ascendant and put it into a notebook. You will find this invaluable for seeing at a glance every single Upachaya layout for every ascendant, indicating Houses A, B, C, D and E.

You can also download the program that will automatically allow you to focus on any house and "rotate" around the chart to see the different House B focuses and their relative Upachaya placements. It is called Krushna's Upachaya Charts. both ways or either way is invaluable. It will make things so much clearer.

Hope this helps-

Dear Dennis,

Check 3,6,10,11 house points in sarvashtakavarga. If they are in an

ascending order then you can predict that the person can do good in

business. This is general interpretation.

Lets understand why do we consider points of 3,6,10 and 11 and whats

with the ascending order.

3rd indicates the parakram, courage, daring, writing etc.

6th indicated enemies, status of the native, service, servants etc

10th indicates work, profession, karma etc

11th indicates gains, income, elder brother, friends, ends etc.

If the points are in ascending order then we can get indications

such as

courage < status < work < income or gains

hence with the minimal courage you get status and with lesser amount

of work put in you get more income.

Also check the points between 11th and 12th house as 12th house

denots expenses. If 11th house has less points than 12th house this

could indicated more expense that gains.

These are general indications.

Before you dwelve into that you also have to identify the

intellegence of the native to check his or her potential.

Based on the above indications how would you indentify the end of an

job ? Take some time to think about this question.

Cheers !!!

Ash

Chapter 21 (revised) is a chapter devoted to Profession. This

chapter will give you guidelines on how Ashtakavarga system of

prediction can be followed to identify the profession.

Dear Denis -

Thank you for your answer. However, my question was: what is the house B I

have to use ? 10th or 6th? Once I'll get the answer, I'll look for the

houses A, C, D, E. Thanks a lot

I would look at both of these houses to get different perspectives on the job and the career. Each one will present a different perpsective or layer to the conditions surrounding your job (6th) or your career and social status (10th). Someone's "career" may be as an actor for example, but in order to establish his career (10th), he needs to work a daytime "job" as a waiter in order to survive until he makes it in the acting business. So each one reveals a different approach to how that person goes about acheiving his social status.

Hope this helps -

Dear Peter -

I just read your letter regarding Krushnas Upchaya program but I was unable to download it successfully. I did download it but the program as I got it just had the big E over it (the same as Internet explorer E) and when I tried to do anything with it it just took me to a copy of the files page on the A & Tevents page.

I just tried to redownload it myself and it seems fine. Try doing it again and when the download window pops up, click on the top option that allows you to OPEN THIS FILE FROM ITS CURRENT LOCATION. It should open up fine. If this is successful, then try to again download it once more onto your computer. It might just be a computer glitch. Let me know either way. If it still doesn't work, I'll try another approach.

> By the way I hope you are enjoying your new course!!

Thanks, Peter. So far it's very enlightening!

Dear Denis -

I will defer to Krushna on this as he has already answered your question very clearly. Hope that finally clears things up for you.

Donna

Dear Denis,

For Job 6th house and 11th house. In both same planet

should have more points.

Consider your chart, you have got your first service in Saturn sub,

If you refer the work sheet, you will find Saturn have good points in

6th and 11th house.

When the points are low, person may loose his job. Some

time he may leave his job for better prospects, in that case, Planet

should have good points, and at the same time, it should be favorable

for change of place, if going out of the town.

You have started full time astrologer in Moon sub, which is

highest in 11 th house.

Any type of consultancy can not be treated as business. As

Ash have told points in 3,6,10th and 11 th house is for own

bussiness where a person is investing his money, or taking more

responsibility.

Dear Donna,

Thank you for your answer. I'll make my question more precise.

1. Let us imagine you are studying the chart of a teenager. His mother is

asking " When shall he get his first job? " (it is also an indirect way to

estimate the end of the studies). What is the house you will use (house B)

to know the right subperiod?

2. Let us imagine an adult is asking: " There some troubles in the company I

am employed. Will I lose my jub in the next years? When? " What is the house

you will use (house B) to know the right subperiod?

Thanks for sharing your experience!

Best wishes

Dear Krushna,

Thank you very much. Your answer is perfectly precise and clear. May we say

the 11th is used for salary and the 6th for employment? Is it right to make

this fidderence?

Thanks a lot

Denis
