Self Employed Contractor (Generally 1 person company) v/s Business (that could employ more than 1 employee). Studying points attainded in the houses 3,6,10 and 11 in the ascending order would indicated that the navite shall be good in business provided that he is intellegent (check sun, moon and lagna in saturn's house in Navamsa, Drekhenna and Trisamsa chart). Now for Consultancy would mean providing " Service " to clients. For this you would you consider the following houses in sarvashtakavarga. 3rd house for courage or contract 6th house for status of native, business expense (12th from 7th hse) 7th house for business and partnership 9th house for luck and higher learning 10th house for actual work 11th house for Income. Each and every house would be connected in some way or the other. How would we examine a chart for Self Employed Consultant v/s Business. If the person is emplying some subordinates then it should have rajyog. (Raj yog means exchange of lords of Physical plane and Dharma triplicity 1,5,9 houses. for cancer or Leo ascendent Mars is lord of kendra and trikona, if it is powerful, situated in the 10th house from any other planet with less points, becames power ful. Similarly for Libra and Taurus lagna Saturn is lord of kendra and trikona houses, if such Saturn is powerful it will give some assistance emplyed. For other lagna, lord of kendra and trikona becames samdharmi, and both are powerful it gives similar effect. If the points are in rising order and some rajyog are presents the native also employed in some post of authority. Some times 3,6,10 are in rising order and 11 have less points, and rajyog is present, person may be doing hard work, but getting less return. Consultancy is considered as Service, there is no material is exchanged for money, and person have no risk, or giving gaurantee or warrentee. Medical profession, repairs work, Charterd accountants, Web designers and similar work may be called as service industries. For doing any thing person should have full confidence in his action. So brilliency and courage is required. Points in 11th and 12th house should be considered for saving from Lagna, Sun and Moon. (12th points less then 11th) Result should be taken for the mean value. If in all the tree case more points in 11th house then 12th, means good saving. If two are having more and one case is having less, then the person may prolong with, but will have some debt. 2nd house and it's status is also important.
