What is its relavence in Hinduism ? 3) My answer again is short. Bindu means a Dot. Its the notation for a benefic point contributed. Rekha means a line. Its is the notation for a malefic point contributed. Why is it called Bindu and Rekha ? For Rekha this is my possible answer, but I may be way off target. Lakshma made a Rekha for Sita, could it have some significance of that. Is that why the name given is Rekha for Malefic point contributed. I have no idea why its called Bindu for its notation.
