Selection of houses for Degree and post graduate:

If one gets a degree that increases the status of

the person then 6th and 10th along with 5th house

and their lords have to be studied as 6th house

increases the status and 10th for profession this is

from lagna. 5th house is for degree and 9th for

advanced learning and spiritual learning. But before

you dwelve into the degree, the intellegence of the

person has to be gauged as success and failure would

depend on it. The karak for intellegence is Saturn

and if lagna lord, Sun and Moon are in the Saturnian

sign in Navamsa, Drekkhana and Trimsamsa then the

person can be very intellegent. 4th house is for

knowlege and 5th for degree. For an institute , which

does not give any degree, 12th house and 9th hosue

would have to be studied for spirituality and higher

learning.

 

Sometimes we find that a person may be very

intellegent but the dasa running at that point might

now be favourable at all, though a person is inclined

and wants to do say for example engineering but

during the maturity of grade 12 marks and at the time

of admission if the dasa running is not favourable

then he may not get admission into a college, this can

also be studied from Navamsa lords of 10th house from

Sun, lagna and moon have to be studied and their

respective strengths.

 

What may be good education or level of education

in

one coutry may be different from the other, and this

is also to be studied depending on the place one is

in.

Dear Krushanji and list members:

 

I am somewhat surprised by your assertion that saturn is karaka for

intelligence. Normally i thought one would associate intelligence with

Jupiter or Mercury and saturn is associated with " dullness " rather than

intelligence. I am sure you will be able to clarify in due course.

Secondly how do we differentiate between degree holder and post graduate

degree holder with regard to karakas...who could be the indicator between

being a graduate or post-graduate?

 

finally what are the indicators for those who are pursuing even beyond post

graduate degree?? what are the indications or indicators for someone

pursuing beyond post-graduates?

 

hopefully someone would have time to further elaborate on this matter

Dear Rangarajan,

Jupiter is the indicator of Degrees, ( 5th house)There is

difference between knowedge and the degrees. Sharpness of the mind,

Photographic memory is different then the degree. For sharpness of

the mind Saturn is responsible. Karak for Post graduation is Moon. If

Venus and Mercury are powerful for 9th house, post graduation is

possible. For this also person must have sharpness of mind. In Rashi

chart and Navamansha, Trishansha, and Dreshkona div, if Lagna, Sun

and Moon are situated in the div of Saturn, atleast at 3 places ( out

of 12) indicates the sharpness of the person, and gives photographic

memory. The person if reads once, he can remember the things. He may

be Nastik, believes only in facts, No blind belief.

4th house indicates Knowedge, ( 5th Degree) and FK for 4th

house is Saturn. 4th house also indicates Landed property, house etc.

For these also Karak is Saturn.

This can be checked from the charts of the brillient

persons.

respect in the society. If a person is brillient, Significators for

9th house, Planets in 2nd and 6th house with more points, Strong 2nd

and 6th lord, can gives qualities for being post graduate. For this,

Status of the person, (6th house) authority (10th house), should be

considered. Now the person gets respect, only he have good manners.
